Abstract / Excerpt:
Davao ranks high as a destination point of foreign tourists who visited the Philippines in 1974.
This was shown in a visitor sample survey conducted by the Research and Statistics Division of the Planning Service, Department of Tourism.
Pedro R. Lavinia, head of the DOT office in Davao, disclosed that outside of Manila, Tagaytay, Pagsanjan, Baguio and Muntinglupa, foreign tourists chose Davao as destination point.
Of the 8,070 foreign tourists who were interviewed 5.77 percent said they visited Davao.
