Sustainable development is about ensuring a better quality of life for everyone now and for generations to come and that includes those with disabilities. However, today, the society of sighted, the blind are usually looked upon as less humans and are regraded as the burden that the society has to bear. Since we care less for them, we tend to ignore their needs and development in which are essential for them to rise above their darkness and provide his part to humanity. Definitely it is humanity's commitment to perceive this. Now is the time to provide opportunities for children and youth who are visually impaired to develop the skills necessary to lead vocationally, personally, and socially satisfying and productive lives and provide a learning environment that is rendered for them, thus ensuring that it will meet the necessary needs for development. This has become a challenge for us to become compassionate and sensitive for the unsighted and the test for us if were able to provide a learning environment that would sustain them in the long run. This thesis deals with finding ways to make architecture made available to the sightless; to make it a part of their everyday environment through its integration with their normal activities such as mobility, education, and orientation. The thesis will thus allow the sightless to be more closely related and better equipped in their dealings with the world.
