Abstract / Excerpt:

Objectives: (1) to present the profile of the respondents in terms of a) socio-demographic b) economic characteristics c) organizational involvement of the male and female homosexuals in Davao City; (2) determine the nature and extent of the respondents' political participation; (3) determine the respondents' advocacy in relation to their sexual orientation of the homosexuals; (4) determine the effects of the political participation of these homosexuals in their work and personal life (5) determine the capacity building activities undertaken by the homosexuals and (6) determine whether political participation is related to age, sexual orientation, educational attainment, religion, occupation, advocacy, and organizational involvement.
