Abstract / Excerpt:

This study seeks to collect, record, translate and analyze selected myths and rituals of the Samas in the Island Garden City of Samal. Specially, it attempts to answer the following questions: 1.Who are the Samas?; 2.What are their myths and rituals?; 3.What are the functions of the myths in the rituals according to the balyan and other members of the Sama tribe?.
