Abstract / Excerpt:
Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of a specific questioning strategy to the performance of the students in the achievement test in General Science and their ability to answer higher level questions.
Conclusions: (1) There is no significant difference between the mean gain scores of the students in the achievement test in General Science exposed to a specific questioning strategy developed by Hilda Taba and that of the students who were not taught with the same strategy. (2) There is no significant increase in the percentage of students who can answer higher level questions after being exposed to Taba's specific questioning strategy.
