Status assessment of the CFSS implementation in selected Bayugan City Schools

Abstract / Excerpt:

This study assessed the status of the implementation of Child Friendly School System in selected Public Elementary Schools in Bayugan City, Agusan del Sur: Highland School (Mt. Carmel Elementary School), Riceland School (Lapana Elementary School) and River-crossed School (Verdu Elementary School). It documented problems encountered and their solutions. There were 98 respondents consisting of teachers, pupils, parents and community stakeholders, School Administrators of CFSS Coordinators of the three schools. Descriptive method was used and the weighted mean was the statistical tool used. The results of study indicate that the selected schools have fully implemented the five traits and generally the seven goals, it also showed that the effective implementation of CFSS traits and goals depend largely on the on-going orientations, seminar and enhancement training of school administrators, teachers, pupils, parents and community stakeholders. Replication of the study in other settings in recommended.
