Abstract / Excerpt:

Conclusions: (1) There are still unrecorded myths and legends of the Manobos. (2) The myths and legends provide a coherent view of the world of the Manobo and the meaning of life which is fundamentally based on how the Manobos relate with their natural environment, which provides all their life sources and from which their culture sprang. (3) The myths and legends are the embodiment of the Manobo traditional customs, values, ideals, beliefs and lifeways which are still being practiced by the present generation.
