Abstract / Excerpt:

Recommendations: (1) Since practice is significantly correlated only to knowledge in herbal medicines, it is recommended tha further trainings be given especially to members of Mothers Class or through other community organizations. (2) The Department of Health, Region XII should have an education program on the air on herbal medicine and should provide monetary incentives to women to encourage them to practice outside their home. (3) A wider scope of study in the area of primary health care be conducted, especially on womens' volunteerism to find out in what other aspects women be willing to play an active role for the good of the community.
