Child labor and legal responses: Philippines and Indonesia face to face

Abstract / Excerpt:

OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY: This study aims to compare the child labor situation and legal responses of the Philippines and Indonesia specifically; the objectives of this study are the following: (1.) To compare the current situation of child labor in Indonesia and the Philippines in areas of: farm work; domestic labor; prostitution; and trafficking. (2.) To compare the legal responses on the child labor in Indonesia and the Philippines in terms of the national laws, historical background of laws and policies, definition of child, and penalties.
