Enumerates the discrepancies of the state of education in Mindanao citing as factors the following: conflict between government and radical Islamic liberation groups, isolation and distance which hampers civil servants and teachers to visit far-flung areas, corruption within the Department of Education which in turn results to unattractive salary package for teachers. It also compares the state of education in far-flung areas and developed areas in Mindanao.
