The author presents the Maguindanaos' concept of land and some of their cultural values. He also Kawalis, datuism, the influences of Islamic law, customary laws, and the luwaran, the Maguindanao code of laws. This study is significant in relation to the implementation of the agrarian reform in Maguindanao area.
