Eight research papers and four folk narratives from a Tausug story teller comprise this first volume of Sulu Studies, the publication through which the Coordinated Investigation of Sulu Culture disseminates studies. In one paper, the progress of the CISC since 1961-1971 is discussed. Other papers expound on these subjects: Tausug polity and housebuilding, Samal marriage and folk literature.
