Selected variables on latex production and enzyme activity of papaya

Annotation

The study shows that the best results for enzyme activity was obtained from local variety using 34 mM ELS (ethepon latex stimulant). The use of oil generates a higher enzyme activity than the use of water for all varieties. Solvent dose, fruit weight, and variety significantly affected enzyme activity while latex yield was significantly affected by dose, fruit weight and variety.
