Post harvest loss assessment for corn in Sultan Kudarat

Annotation

Findings reveal that different post harvest activities incurred a total quantitative loss of 14.05 percent during wet season and 13.39 during dry season. Qualitative loss is 6.44 percent and 11.04 for wet and dry season respectively. The losses are incurred from harvesting, piling, shelling and drying operations. Factors affecting post harvest losses include lack of post harvest technologies and infrastructures, capabilities and technical know-how on post harvest operations.
