This study gathers baseline data on twenty-two water quality parameters to assess the current status of Pulangui River in the vicinity of Pulangui IV Hydroelectric Power Plant of the National Power Corporation. It also determines the effect of changes in water quality to all aquatic organisms, and the adverse and beneficial effects on the ecosystem caused by the construction of hydroelectric power plants. Effective watershed planning and management is suggested to maintain the water quality of a river.
