Discusses in brief the nature and present state of the Philippine Muslim problem, and government efforts to improve conditions in the South and foster better relations with Muslims. Among these are national integration program and implementation of economic and social reforms. It also mentions efforts of some ASEAN foreign ministers, such as those from Indonesia and Malaysia, to help the country defend its position at the Islamic conference for foreign ministers held in Benghazi, Arab, and Libyan Republic on March 24, 1973.
