It is time for mutual affirmative action

Annotation

In a nutshell, the article states the existence of deep-seated prejudices between Muslims and Christians, varying in degrees in different parts of Mindanao is a major problem too well known to Mindanawons. It is most intense in the central and western parts of the region, but not so much in Sulu and Tawi-Tawi. The lumad communities are somehow caught in the web of this uncomfortable relationship. Fortunately, there have been numerous initiatives aimed at creating new terms of relationships, at the level of the people, mostly led by non-Government Organizations (NGOs). They see healing among the people as part of a bigger peace process and have pioneered in exploring new ways at viewing things and relating to one another.
