Evaluation of on-trial of promising selections/varieties of mungbean

Annotation

Identifies which of the five mungbean cultivars are most suited for Patikul, and Jolo, Sulu during the wet season. EG-MG 174-3 obtains the highest grain yield of 1.21 ton/ha followed by Pag-asa var-1, Pag-asa var-3, CESx -10, and CES II with an average grain yields of 1.09, 1.04 and 0.98 tons per hectare, respectively. These however, are not statistically different. Pag-asa 1 and 3 are found to be early maturing cultivars with fifty-six days from date of planting to first priming. Among the cultivars tested, Pag-asa var 3 shows to be most susceptible to pest attack having a rating of five (moderately heavy).
