Abstract:
Monitored rice retail prices in the regions of Ilocos, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Southern Tagalog and Mindanao revealed stable prices that ranged from P33.09/kg to P34.57/kg in Luzon, and P35.24 in Mindanao, before and after the typhoons. Thus, NFA is able to serve the rice requirements of areas affected by natural and man-made calamities, which in 2011, averaged at 19.
