Work-life and organizational commitment

Abstract / Excerpt:

ABSTRACT : This study investigates the correlation between work-life and organizational commitment of Jollibee Davao - JTC Group of Companies' employees. The primary objective of the study is to present and examine the correlation of employees' satisfaction of work-life balance, work-life spillover and organizational commitment. The quantitative survey method is employed in the collection of data. A total of 101 responses from regular employees who have served at least two years at jollibee Davao under JTC Group of Companies are obtained in the study. Results reveal that the respondents are generally young adults with males making up more than half. The majority is single and most have served the company for less than ten years. Modal income is within the Php10,001-Php15,000 range. Finding show that the respondents are neither dissatisfied nor satisfied with the work-life balance programs of Jollibee. On the other hand, the work-life spillover sometimes affects them and the respondents neither disagreed nor agreed to their organizational commitment. There is a significant correlation between the satisfaction of work-life balance programs and organizational commitment. However, positive work-life spillover is significantly correlated with organizational commitment while negative spillover implies no correlation.
