Abstract / Excerpt:

The main problem of the study was to determine the roles of women working in local media. It attempts to answer the following questions: 1). What is the demographic profile of women media practitioners on local television?; 2). Is there an equal opportunity in terms of benefits, promotion, and salary between men and women in the local mass media?; 3). How do women respondents perceive their roles on the local mass media?
