Understanding, measuring and controlling employee turnover at Ford Davao

Abstract / Excerpt:

Employee turnover can have critical effects to any organization ranging from needless recruitment and training costs, low morale among existing employees, unfavorable reputation resulting to less financial opportunities and the like. Unfortunately, high employee turnover has been a recurring problem in Ford Davao, which has received considerable attention by the management. The objective of this research is therefore, to understand the reasons behind turnover and its negative effects and in turn to provide realistic recommendations on how to control employee turnover through a carefully planned Employee Retention Program. This will hopefully lead to an increase company ROI with prolonged employee tenure.
