Abstract / Excerpt:

Objectives: The researcher was concerned with finding out whether a student's motivation in learning English has anything to do with his success or failure in learning the language.
Methodology: The study used the descriptive-analytical method of research using a battery of questionnaires tapping two motivational variables: type of orientation in learning English and intensity of motivation.
