Abstract / Excerpt:

The study will analyze the movie "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" as fantasy genre. Specifically, it will identify the elements of fantasy composed of characterization and plot, elements of surprise, excuse for character development and the representation of fantasy in someone else's shoes found in the movie according to the theory of Orson Scott Card (2000).
