Abstract / Excerpt:
ABSTRACT: The study investigated the effects of classical music on recall of visual information. A total of 20 respondents from the 1st year Architecture class were chosen with the use of purposive sampling. The respondents took the pretest without the exposure to classical music. After the pretest, a two-week period was allotted for the post test using the same test where the respondents were exposed to classical music. Using paired t-test, it was found out that classical music had no significant effect on recall of visual information on the entire sample group thus null hypothesis was accepted. The same result was also derived from the performance of the 10 male respondents. Based on the 10 female respondents' test performance, the null hypothesis was rejected which implies that classical music had a significant effect on the recall of visual information.
