Abstract / Excerpt:

This study is entitled "Smoke Belching in Davao City: Student's level of Knowledge, Perceptions and Experiences." It sought to study and describe the student's knowledge, perceptions and experiences regarding statements and circumstances associated to smoke-belching. This study employed and administered survey questionnaire using the convenience sampling method under the descriptive-study research design in order to comply with its objectives. The study found out that the respondents have gradually felt the effects of global warming, one of the major contributors of which is air pollution due to smoke-belching. The researchers learned that there is a need to accelerate and enhance policy implementation as well as to enjoin efforts from environmental groups, the academe, and the locales in order to address the issue of smoke-belching in the city.
