Abstract / Excerpt:

This study intended to check the applicability and the relevance of Gerbner's Cultivation theory in 2005 in the Philippine setting. The researchers looked into some of the concepts and findings of Gerbner's study in 2005. This quantitative and qualitative research tried to check the applicability and the relevance of the said study in the Philippine setting. It tried to determine if Gerbner's theory is still applicable and relevant in studying the perception of the Filipino viewers towards watching television programs
