Abstract / Excerpt:

This strategic plan focuses on the Bangko Sentral ng pilipinas (BSP) Regional Office-Davao. The BSPRO-Davao serves as the instrument that sustains the efficient delivery of the central banking functions of the BSP. Thus, the BSPRO-Davao needs its own strategic management plan in order to ensure efficiency.It is worthy to note that regional office does not only cover Region XI but to the whole Mindanao Region. The vastness of the area of responsibility as well as the distance of the BSPRO-Davao to its branches requires smooth efficiency and quick response to emergency cases in whichever branch.The BSPRO-Davao's force lie in BSP's stated mission, vision and objectives and clear promotion policies. The BSP's slow process for recruitment of personnel, procedure for requisition of supplies and equipment and centralized budget allocation contribute to the deceleration of the services of BSPRO-Davao.The lack of personnel, on the other hand, causes problems in the BSPRO-Davao. It affects not only its services but also the budget allocation for overtime.Based on study, it is recommended that the BSPRO-Davao enhance its system for use of technology for continued efficiency in delivering quality services to its stakeholders (refers to the public in general. It includes the banks, other financial institutions, as well as government agencies). The BSPRO-Davao must also provide relevant information on how the BSP can help in coping with crises and economic difficulty.
