Abstract: The study was conducted to gather results regarding the performance of pupils in Mathematics IV through photographic essay. It attempts to answer; Will the use of photographic essay in teaching enhance the learning of Grade IV pupils in Mathematics? The subject of the study consisted of 46 Grade IV pupils purposively selected as samples due to their low performance in the National Diagnostic Test (NDT) pre test specifically in Mathematics. The teacher was trained through School based-INSET training regarding photographic essay as strategy used in Mathematics class with focus on the least learned competencies in 3rd Grading Period. The study compared and analyzed the data gathered in pre test and Post Test using t-test for correlated samples at level of significance of 0.05. The results of the study revealed that Photographic had enhanced the learning of the pupils and obtained significant effect in performance of Grade IV pupils in Mathematics. The researcher recommend that further investigation regarding the use of photographic essay could be conducted not only in Mathematics IV but also in other grade levels for further improvement of pupil's performance. If possible, it could be conducted in other subjects to find out its applicability.
