This study determined the ef?cacy of using Olyset net as preventive measure against dengue in four selected public elementary schools in Davao City. It utilized the descriptive and evaluative method to determine the relationship between the use of Olyset net and the incidence rate of dengue cases. In addition, it served as a comparative study whereby comparing the trend of dengue cases before and after the usage of Olyset net by the selected schools. The school clinic teachers of the chosen four public elementary schools were the respondents. Monitoring sheets were used to yield data in identifying the incidence of dengue cases in these schools. The data gathered were evaluated and computed using frequency and percentage, mean and standard deviation and T-test method. The result of the study indicated that there is a dramatic drop in the number of dengue cases in the four public elementary in Davao City after the use of Olyset net during months of June-September 2011 compared to the months of June-September 2010 before they used the Olyset net. In line With all these, it is recommended that the use of Olyset net should be promoted to the whole community and other establishments by conducting seminars and symposiums with the help of the barangay health centers and schools in Davao City.
