Abstract / Excerpt:

Nowadays, mobile devices, such as the common cellular phone, have become more than just simple telecommunications devices. Instead, they have become an extension of the owner's personal life. These mobile devices now hold sensitive and very personal data owned by the user. Hence, a need for a better security mechanism on these mobile devices arises from this situation. This can be done by applying the concept of Stenography, particularly Image Steganography, on these mobile devices. By hiding the sensitive data inside a JPEG image, these data are now free from unauthorized viewing.
