Abstract: The study was done to find out if the use of games and puzzles as teaching strategy could improve the pupils' performance in Mathematics IV. The findings showed that the t-test of the mean scores between the pretest and posttest was significant. this implied that the use of games and puzzles as teaching strategy improved the pupils performance in Mathematics IV. The findings led to the conclusion that the use of games as laboratory activities had increased the pupils' performance because they were able to tell the relationship between fractions less than 1; to compare unit fractions using relations symbola and to order fractions written in different forms from least to greatest value and vise versa. Based on the result of the study, it could be noted that games andpuzzles could bei ntegrated in different subject areas to enforce the development of different skills of the students. Furthermore, teachers could develop games for different subject areas that could suit the need and levels of students.
