Four original plays and their educational implications

Abstract / Excerpt:

Objectives: The problems posed by this study were: (1) What are the four Davao plays and their analyses? (a) What are the most serious problems experienced by the lumad communities, the street children , and the family or an insurgent who is a victim of military brutality? (b) What is the impact of the instructions of a multinational corporations and the Christian settlers on the lumad communities? (c) How do the streetchildren find their life in a shelter away from the home? How do the parents regard their children in such a shelter away from home? (d) What is the effect on the family of the death of an insurgent member of the family whose insurgency is repulsed by it? (2) What are the plays' educational implications?
Methodology: This study was triggered by unforgettable visits to the Lumads. This was supplemented by interviews with social workers and concerned groups assigned of living in the areas about the problems and customs and rituals of the lumad communities.
