Abstract / Excerpt:
Conclusions: Based on the results of this study the demographic variables: age, educational attainment, civil status, number of children, income and lenght of residency; and the situational variables: work status, decision-making in the household, household division of labor, household time management, organizational involvement, and experience of violence against women have signignificant relationship to the extent of political participation. Therefore the null hypothesis with regard to these variables is rejected. On other hand, the demographic variable, age distribution of children has no significant relationship to the extent of political participation. Thus, with regard to this variable, the null hypothesis is accepted.
