Abstract / Excerpt:
It has been years since the first conception of informing the people what they need to know about their health and their environment. True enough that media have already played a vital role in the society, however, there are still details in the dissemination that need to attend to such as the way it is presented, the value that it consists, the emphasis on the matter being presented, and the audience. In this thesis, the researchers placed the quantitative distinctions of the various mediums used to disseminate health information to the residents of Purok 9, Lapanday Riverside. This paper presented how much the residents were exposed, how much they understood the information given, and how they applied those things presented in the media. The researchers wanted to see whether the residents were getting the information they needed know and applied the things they had to with regards to health. This study aimed to determine the level of exposure to health information from various media tools of the residents for this study. The results were obtained through immersing in to their community and randomly selected the residents to fill out our survey forms. The five point rating scale was used for evaluation. Descriptive statistics were used in the data analysis and interpretation. The results showed that the mediums they were exposed to were television and seminar.
