Abstract / Excerpt:

Objective: This study aimed to find the factors that affected the domestic violence experienced by married women of the academe.
Methodology: This study used the descriptive-correctional method.
Conclusion: The overall findings showed that in the case of married women in the academe, domestic violence happened but not generally related to husband and wife socio-economic characteristics and the access and control of resources and benefits.
