Abstract / Excerpt:

The study is all about the quantitative determination of Lead contents of Hijo river. There were 3 sampling stations subjected to experimental studies. The analysis was done by atomic absorption spectrophotometry after the samples had undergone digestion using concentrated nitric acid. Results of this determination showed certain level of lead contamination in Hijo River. In the first sampling it exceeded the tolerable limit set by the National Pollution Control Commission (NPCC) which is .05 mg/liter out in second and third sampling the lead concetration can still be tolerated.
