Abstract / Excerpt:

Objectives: Generally, the study will determine the views and experiences of Ateneo de Davao University students on dating through texting. Specifically, the study will determine the following: a. Views of the respondents on dating through texting; b. Experiences of respondents about dating through texting.

Methodology: The design of the study was descriptive and made use the interview method as a data collection technique.

Summary: The study is about the views and experiences of Ateneo students in dating through texting. There are two reasons on why people date through text. First is because it is fun, exciting and thrilling because of the anonymity of the person that they are texting or through the use of their imagination. This is also leads to meeting new people of different backgrounds. Second is that they engage in this kind of relationships to keep them entertained as a way to pass time and to avoid being boredom.
