Abstract / Excerpt:
(continuation) and time management. The school principals' ratings to their teachers and the self-rating of teachers in the areas of classroom management, particularly on Completion of Tasks and Assignments, Discipline, Teaching strategies, preparation and use of Instructional Materials and Structuring the classroom, have no significant correlation, However, time management is significantly correlated, but its correlation is negligible. Based on the results of this study, it is recommended that classroom teachers must give exercises, tasks, and assignments to their students regularly, accompanied by immediate checking in order to condition good study habits, discipline the minds and develop a sense of responsibility among students. School administrators should give ample and quality time in supervising teachers in the way the classrooms are managed especially the manner in which teachers teach the lessons and the way the latter's classrooms are being structured. District supervisors and Human Resource Development Officers should conduct a periodic seminar-workshop on systematic management of classrooms and its situations. Similar studies may be conducted in other public elementary schools not included in the study and in private elementary schools.
