Bilingual teaching and students’ academic performance in general biology

Abstract / Excerpt:

Objective: The purpose of this study is to determine if bilingual will affect the academic performance of the BSEd students in General Biology in NDU.
Methodology: The Non-Equivalent Control group design particularly the quasi-experimental design was used in this study.
Conclusion: There is a significant difference in mean gain scores of students taught in bilingual instruction and those taught in English. Therefore, bilingual teaching can help improve the academic performance of students in General Biology.
