Abstract / Excerpt:

Despite the construction industry's important role in boosting economy, the performance of the industry still remains generally low. Construction industry in General Santos City also possessed problems and challenges towards managing project. Improper safety management, resource deprivation, improper waste disposal, length of construction and poor quality of outputs are among of the visible problems that can be seen directly during a construction project. This study gaged the current practices that the construction industry in General Santos City was applying and comparing its construction practices to the practices applied by developing countries. In line with this, the objectives of the study were formulated for the attainment of solving the problem.
