Abstract / Excerpt:

Objectives: This study aims to determine the socio-demographic background of the female child prostitutes; find out the process of recruiting the child prostitutes; determine the reasons that motivate child prostitutes to stay and continue being faced by child prostitutes; determine the aspirations of child prostitutes.

Methodology: The study is descriptive using the aid of an interview schedule.

indings: (1) Majority of the respondents or 84.12% started working as prostitutes at the age of 17-18 years. (2) More than half of the respondents were engaged in pure sexual activity, entertaining, being tabled by customers then were taken out for sexual activities later while claimed other activities. (3) More than half of the respondents claimed that they were recruited into the flesh business while voluntarily engaged in prostitution.
