Abstract / Excerpt:
This study described the differences between the sexual self-efficacy of heterosexual and homosexual males of students in colleges/universities located in Davao City. The researchers gathered a total of 93 males - 56 heterosexuals and 37 homosexuals - to test sexual self-efficacy in terms of the assertive, precautions and resistive dimensions using the Buzwell and Rosenthal (1996) Sexual Self-Efficacy Questionnaire of the participants. The ages of the participants ranged from 15 to 26 years old. Using frequency means, the results of the study indicated that heterosexuals and homosexuals had the same high mean scores for the assertive dimension and resistive dimension. They had high and low mean scores for the precautions dimension.
