Abstract / Excerpt:
Summary of Findings: Most of the respondents: are Dabawneyos and Cebuanos; were in in their regular junior years, from the Business Administration division, with a weighted percentage average of 81-85%; were currently married earning a total monthly income of P 15,000-19,999. Majority of the parents of the respondents consult each other before arriving at a major decision. A result of the study which deviates to the traditional thinking that the father is the only one who decides on major issues. However, in the case of decision making on minor issues, the parents of the respondents stick to the traditional wherein the mother dominates. Most of the respondents spent more than two hours a day with both their father mother and most of them interact with both the father and mother with the same amount of time. Majority of the respondents answered that they are close with their brothers and sisters, though most of them are not used on saying the words "I love you" to them. Majority of the respondents answered that they are practically close with their relatives, though most of them only see them a few times a month. Family is a very important unit of our society, therefore the school institution should took part on the formation of individuals as productive members of the society.
