Abstract / Excerpt:

In this study, the researchers hope to add more to what is already known about text messaging and hopefully, contribute to the knowledge on this text-based, electronic-mediated communication. The focus of the study is on various ways people use in constructing their emotional messages using text messaging and the reasons for using such text-messaging elements. The study will also find out if there is significant relationship between demographics and text-messaging elements.
