Abstract / Excerpt:

Objectives: This study sought to conduct an organizational audit both from the Regional Office and various operating units (NIS & PIOs) relative to its key functional areas and to determine the different factors that interact within and outside the organization, To be able to evaluate existing politices related to NIS and CIS project development and implementation, to be able to evaluate the extent of physical accomplishment of various foreign-assisted projects which are related to System's improvement and to newly constructed CIS, To be able to evaluate the extent of the Regional and Central Office assistance to various field operating units (NIS & PIOs) and to develop a strategic plan for NIA Region XI. Methodology: A management audit is to be conducted in every unit (Regional Office, Provincial Irrigation Office, National Irrigation System) to determine the strengths and weaknesses of the organization in the aspects of management capability and management functions: Planning, Organizing, Directing, and Controlling. A manangement audit, checklist/questionnaire will be furnished to all concerned offices.
