Abstract / Excerpt:

Summary of findings and Recommendations: This chapter presents the findings of the study and the recommendations of the researchers. The findings are presented in the following order: profile of the idle landowners in terms of a) socio-demographic characteristics, b) Economic condition, c) The corresponding socio-economic profile of the household members of the respondent, the characteristics of the idle lands, the problems encountered by the respondents in acquiring and developing the land, and the perceptions of the landowners towards the idle land tax policy.
