Abstract / Excerpt:
Objectives: (1) To present the profile of the respondents and of the selected large-scale layer poultry farms in Davao City; (2) To present the average daily table-egg production and the characteristics of the inputs utilized by the selected large-scale layer poultry farms; (3) To present the pricing of table eggs of the selected large-scale layer poultry farms; (4) To illustrate the production flow chart and commodity flow chart of table eggs; (5) To identify the problems and/or constraints that the selected large-scale layer poultry farmers to innovate production. The research may also provide information to farmers on how they would enhance effective management of their farms.
Methodology: This study is a descriptive research which provides a profile of the selected large-scale layer poultry farms in Davao City.
Summary: Four out of six respondents were managers in the poultry farm. Majority of the respondents with ample knowledge of poultry farming are male 94 out of 6 and two out of the six respondents were between the ages of 30 to 39. The length of stay in the farm of two respondents was between 10 to 14 years. Three of them engaged in layer poultry farming from 15 to 19 years.
