A comparison of personal data, interview styles and self concepts of counselors

Abstract / Excerpt:

Objective: To determine whether or not the styles of interviewing done by professional counselors differed from the styles of non-counselors.

Methodology: This is a descriptive study using counselors and non-counselors.

Conclusions: (1) Counselors are different from non-counselors in their self concepts in the research on the TSCS. (2) Counselors and non-counselors are quite similar in the distribution of their high, average and low clinical scores in the TSCS. (3) The four subgroups of subjects have similarities as well as differences.
