(1.) to determine the socio-demographic profile of Filipino-American families.

(2.) To determine the experiences on social adjustments of Filipino-American couples in terms of:
a.prior to marriage
b.courtship
c.engagement
d.wedding
e.married life
f.child rearing.

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY: This study will benefit the respondents, the Filipino-American couples, to help them to be able to relate to the experiences of other couples and to understand their relationship better. It will also benefit who are interested or are planning to engage in intermarriage, for them to have a background on the possible experiences that they may encounter. Embassies and consulates will also be one of the beneficiaries because these are the important institutions that people turn to when they encounter problems in a foreign country or with foreign nationals. Lastly, the International studies community will benefit from the study on Filipino-American intermarriage. This is because of the additional information gathered and documents produced for social statistics. It will also serve as a help for their future studies on intermarriage or on Filipino-American families.
